WHEREAS, it has been made known to the General As- sembly, that it is important to Williar Sirus, jr. liat his name be changed to that of William Sims Fitler, -THEREFORE, SEC. 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and h70se of/fepre. sentatves of the stdie rf Mississippi, in General Assemb11tY convened, That the name of William Sims, jr. of the Home chan- county of Marion, be, and the same is hereby, changed ged. to that of William Sims Fitler: and by that name he Proviso. shall beknown hereafter in law: Provided. neverthe- less. That the said William Sims Fitler is held ac- countable for all manner of transactions done and exe- cuted under his former name, as if such had never been altered. SLc. 2. And be itjfurther enacted, That the names of the several legitimate children ofthe said Wlliam Sims Fitler he, and they are hereby, altered and changed from that of Sims to Fitler.
