Ben; that they, the said Ben and' Mary; resided 'from the, time of his emancipation until, his death in said county, and that ,thev ever conducted themselves uprightly and peaceably, and lived togetheras free persons,, leading industrious lives; and that the said Ben left issue by said Mary, five children, to wit: Louisa, alias Lucy, Rachel, San dy, MaryAnne and Ben- jamin; and whereas,1it does not appear that any person claims title to said slaves, and that it was ever the intention of said Ben to eman- cipate his said ife and.children;. therefore- See 1.
