Be it enacted by the General Assenbly of the State of Mllissouri, as
follows :
§ 1. That upon the return of the land delinquent list for the year eigh-
teen hundred and fifty-six (1856) to the office of the Register of Lands, the
said Register is hereby authorized and required to certify the amount
due thereon to the Auditor of Public Accounts: Provided, Said list is re-
turned on or before the first day of March, eighteen hundred and sixty-one
(1861.)
§ 2. That the Auditor of Public Accounts shall allow the amount due
said Collector on the personal delinquent list of eighteen hundred and fifty-
six (1856,) when properly certified by the County Court of Wayne county,
and issue his warrant on the Treasurer for the amount due on said land and
personal delinquent lists, in favor of said Collector.
This act shall take effect from its passage.

Be it enacted by the General .dssenbly of the State of lissouri, as
follows :
§ 1. William T. Lucky, of Howard county, executor of the estate of
Joseph Sears, deceased, is hereby authorized and empowered to sell all the
slaves now belonging to said estate and held by Ann M. Sears, widow of
said deceased, under the provisions of the will of said Joseph Sears.
§ 2. Before any sale is made by said Lucky, he shall enter into bond,
with at least two good securities, in such sum as the County Court of How-
ard county shall direct, conditioned that he will faithfully discharge all the
duties devolving upon him under this act ; which bond shall be filed with the
Clerk of said Court, and approved by the Court, before any further proceed-
ings shall be had under this act. Upon the approval of said bond, the court
shall appoint three disinterested householders to appraise the slaves of said
estate, who shall be sworn, before entering upon their duties, to appraise said
slaves at their fair cash value. Said appraisers shall make a report in writing
to said County Court.
§ 3. After the approval of said appraisement, said Lucky may sell said
slaves, or any of them, at public or private sale, but shall not sell any of said
slaves for less than their appraised value.  Said Lucky, as executor, shall
loan out the proceeds of said sale at the highest legal rate of interest that can
be obtained, and shall secure the same by mortgage or deed of trust upon
real estate, to be approved by the said County Court, and shall pay the in-
