Woolfolk.
WHEREAS, It is rnpresented to this General Assembly that Richard 0. Wool-
folk, guardian of Helen B. and George Annie, minor children and heirs
of John A. Woolfolk, deceased, did heretofore, under circumstances of
ur ent necessity, make sale of certain slaves of said minors, namely
William, a boy aged about nineteen years, the property of said Helen
B., sold at and for the price of thirteen hundred dollars, and Henry, a
boy aged about twenty-one years, the property of George Annie, sold
at the price of thirteen hundred dollars ; and whereas, some doubts are
entertained as to the legality of said sale; therefore,
Be it enacted by the General dssembly of the State of Missouri, as
follows:
§ 1. That said sale of said slaves by said Richard 0. Woolfolk, men-
tioned in the preamble hereto, be, and the same is hereby, declared to be
legal and valid, and binding and operative on said mirors, and on the said
Richard 0. Woolfolk, as their guardian.
This act to take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
Approved January 14, 1860.
AN ACT to pay E. A. Carson a certain amount of Money.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Missouri, as
follows :
§ 1. That the Auditor of Public Accounts is hereby authorized and re-
quired to audit and allow to Elijah A. Carson, Clerk of the Circuit Court
of Andrew county, thirty-one dollars and fifteen cents, the amount of fee
bill credited and allowed by Elijah H. Norton, Judge of said Circuit Court,
and Geo. L. Hays, Circuit Attorney, on the sixth day of May, eighteen
hundred and fifty-nine; and the same shall be paid out of the Treasury, out
of the funds appropriated for payment of costs in criminal cases.
This act to take effect from and after the passage thereof.
Approved January 16, 1860.
AN ACT for the Relief of the Collector of the County of Harrison.
Be it enacted by the General assembly of the State of Missouri, as
follows :
§ 1. The Collector of the county of Harrison is hereby allowed until
the first Monday of March, 1860, to make return of his delinquent land list
