Be it enacted by the General .'Alssembly of the Stale of Alifssouri, as
follows :
§ 1. That Jacob Vandiver, late Collector of the revenue ini Shelby
county, shall havo power and authority to collect any and all arrearages
of taxes due and owing in said county for the years in which he iold the
office of Collector, and which he may have been heretofore authorizCd by
law to collect; and for that purpose, he is vested, for the teri of two years
from and after the passage of this act, with all the powers conferred upon
the collector of the revenue by the twenty-third and twenty-fourth sec-
tions of the third ai ticle of the act entitled  An act to provide levying,
assessing, and collecting the revenue, approved December 13, 1855.

§ 1. That John Wright, administrator of the estate of William
Arnoldjr., decensed, late of Monroo county, is hereby empowered to
present a petition to the County Court of Monroc county, asking au-
thority to sell the slaves bolonging to the estate of said William Arnold,
jr., deceased, and the following real estate, belonging to the heirs of said
William Arnold, jr., deceased, to wit: forty acres, the south-west fourth
of the south-west quarter of section thirteen, township fifty-four, range ten
west, lying in Monroe county, and State of Missouri.
§ 2. Ir aid County Court of Monroe county shall lie satisfied that
it will ho to the interest of lic hoirs of said William Arnold, jr., deceased,
it mav order said John Wright. to sell said slaves, and said real estate
herein; described, upon such terms and condition as such court shall ad-
judge best, and the County Court of Monroe county shall have full
power to onlirin or reject any salo made under tle provisions of this act.
( 3. Whenever sale shall he ade anmid approved by said County
Court, it shall lie the duty of said John Wrhrht to execule and deliver to
the purchaser or purehasers. a bill of sale for said slaves, and a deed fully
Conveying ill the (right), title, anmd interest, which said Willinm Arnold,
je., deceased, had in and to said daves 'Ind real estate, which fj pt shall
be acknowledged and recorded as other deeds for the convyance of
lands.
This act to he in force from its pussage.
