Guardian to make report to court of sai sale, dlsposition to be made of the money. Be it enacted by the General .dssemnbly of the State of Missouri, as follows: § 1. James Fitzpatrick, of Howard county, guardian and curator of Francis Robecca Fitzpatrick, is hereby authorized and empowered to sell four slaves of his said ward. He shall cause said slaves to be appraised by three disinterested householders of Howard county, who shall be duly sworn to appraise said slaves at their fair cash value; and said guardian may sell said slaves at public or private sale, for cash or on credit, and if on credit, shall take good security for the purchase money. 2. Said guardian shall make a report of the sale of said slaves, or any of them, to the County Court of Howard county; and said court shall cause him to loan out the money received for the same, at the best legal rates of interest that can he obtained, and shall see that said money is well secured for the use and hcnefit of said child.
