AN ACT in relation to swamp and overflowed lands in Greene, Taney, Stone, and Gasconade
counties.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Missouri, as follows:
§ 1.- That any person, the head of a family, who was an actual set-
tler upon any overflowed or swamp lands in the county of Greene, on the
first day of January, 1857, who shall prove the same to the satisfaction of
the County Court of said county, shall be entitled to enter 160 acres of
said land, at the price set by said court before the day set for the sale of
said lands.
§ 2. - The provisions of the first section shall apply to the counties
of Taney, Stone, and Gasconade.
This act to take effect from its passage.
Approved February 27, 1857.
GRUNDY-ASSESSOR.
AN ACT for the relief of the Assessor of Grundy county.
( 1. The Assessor of Grundy county authorized to employ assistants.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Missouri, as follows:
§ 1. - That Win. C. Harvey, Assessor of Grundy county, be, and he
is hereby, authorized to employ assistants in making his assessment of
said county; said assistants to be at his own expense.
This act to take effect, and be in force, from and after its passage.
Approved March 3, 1857.

ARTICLE I.
OF BOUNDARY AND INCORPORATIONS.
( 1. Boundaries of town; general powers. j ( 2. Additions may be made to said town.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of MJlissouri, as follows:
§ 1.- All that portion of country included in the following boundary,
to-wit: commencing at the north-west corner of the town of Trenton, in
Grundy county, running thence south, with the west line of said town, to
the south-west corner of same; thence continuing south in a straight line,
with the west line of said town as aforesaid, to Grand river; thence along
the north bank of the river to the mouth of the slough that empties into
