cause a warrant [to be issued] in favor of the clerk of the Ray circuit
court, and cause the same to be delivered to him.
§. 5. The clerk of the circuit court of Ray county shall, as soon as he
receives the amount duo upon such warrant, pay the same over to the
county treasurer of Ray county, and take his receipt therefor, and file the
same in his office.

AN ACT for the relief of a certain School District In Lafayette county.
( 1. School house tnx in Lafayette county,  of a miijority of qualified voters.
authorized to be levied, without a vote I 2. Repeal of conflicting laws.
Be it enactel by the General Assembly of the State of Missouri, as follows:
§ 1. The trustees of school district, township 51, of range 27, in La-
fayette, be and they are hereby authorized to make a levy on the taxable
property in said district, of one-fifteenth of one per cent. for the purpose
of finishing and enclosing the district school house therein, and that they
have full power and authority to collect the same, in conformity to an act to
provide for the organization, support and government of common schools in
the state of Missouri, approved 24th of February, 1853, in the same manner
as if said tax had been voted by a majority of the qualified voters in said
district.
§ 2. All acts and parts of acts inconsistent with the above act, are
hereby repealed.
This act shall take effect from and after its passage.

WHEREAS, it is represented to the general assembly, that a free person of
color named iusele, now of the ago of 14 years, was, by the laws of
Kentucky, bound as an apprentice till he should arrive at the age of
twenty-one years, to one Isaac Thompson; and whereas, it is further
represented, that since said Rusele was apprenticed to said Thomp-
son, he with his family, including said free person of color, has come
into and settled in this state; therefore,

§ 1. That said free person of color be permitted to remain in this state
