Disqualifiraion. le it enacted by the General A/ssembly of the State of Mis- souri, as follows SECTION 1. Every person who shall commit treason against Preason; its tho.statc, by levying war against the same, or by adhering topunishment. the enemies thereof, by giving them aid and comfort, shall, upon conviction, suffer death, or be sentenced to imprison- ment in the penitentiary for a period not less than ten years.* Se. 2. Every person who shall have knowledge that any Misprison of other person has committed, or is about to commit, treason treason; itq against this state, and who shall conceal the same, shall be Pihment. deemed guilty of misprison of treason, and, on conviction, shall be punishcd by imprisonment in the penitentiary for a period not exceeding seven years, or by imprisonment in the county jail not less than four months, and fine not less than one thousand dollars. SEc. 3.
