It is further made the duty of said commissioner, from time to time, un- der the direction of the Governor, to cause all necessary repairs to be made to the Governor's house, and enclosures thereunto belonging, including the lot on which the old State House stood; and the sum of three hundred dollars is here- by appropriated, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to carry out the provision of this section. This act to take effect from and after its passage. APPROVED Jan. 11, 1841. GOVERNOR'S HOUSE. AN ACT supplementary to An act to repair and furnish the Governor's house, approved January Ilth, 1841. Five hundred dollars, additional, appropriated to furnish the Governor's house. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Slate of Missouri, as follows: § 1. The additional sum of five hundred dollars be, and the same is hereby appropriated for the purpose of furnishing the Governor's house, and that the Auditor of public accounts is hereby authorised to draw a warrant (in favor of the commissioner of the permanent seat of government, to be expended under the direction of the Governor,) on the State treasurer for the same, to be appro- priated out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated. SECTION Who may take out a license to keep a grocery: who to keep a dram shop. . - - 1 Tax on licenses to keep groceries, dram shops, inns and taverns to bo determined by the county court. .Q.... . Application for a license to keep a grocery or drain shop, to be made, in writing, to the county court: what the saine shall f!ste. . 3 License thereupon to isnue for six months. ib. Applicants for license to keep a grocery or dram 1hop, shall deliver a statement, on oath, of the amount of their stock, on which an ad va. lorem tax shall be levied. - . 4 A grocery and dran shop may he kept by same person, on his obtaining a separate license for each.. - - ... . . ib. Clerk shall deliver to collector a statement of licenses granted by the court, and charge him therewith....-... - -. 5 No license shall be issued until the collector's receipt for the taxes on same is produced. - ib.
