Resolved, by the General Assembly of the State of Missourt, That there be paid to William Gardner, or his agent, twenty-four dollars and fifty cents, out of the general contingent fund of the senate and house of repre- sentatives, for his ttavel and attendance as a witness on the trial of judge William U. Carr, at the last session of the geperal assembly. Approved, January 24th, 1835. A resolution to legalize the acts of James Duanica, Commissioner of the Penitentiary. WuEREAS, the act Of the general assembly, passed last session, requires the unaii- mous action of the two commissioners of the penitentiary, required under that act, to do any thing in relation to the erection of the penitentiary, and there being now, by virtue of said law, only one commissioner,-Therefore, Be it resolved by the General Assembly of the State of Missouri, That the auditor of public accounts is hereby authorized and required to'draw his warrant on the state treasury, in favor of James M. Fulkerson, for such amount as may be allowed him by James Dunnica, for work done; and for so much as the said commissioner may certify to be due the. said Fulkerson, by virtue of an act, approved the twentieth day of January, one thousand right hundred and thirty- five, for his relief, according to, and under the provisions of said act. Approved, February 4th, 1835. A resolution to authorize Contractors to get stone at the State quarries. Resolved, by the General Assembly of tie State of Missouri, That the future undertaker, or undertakers, of the stone work of the peniten- tiary, shall have liberty to get stone at any of the quarries belonging to the state, free of any charge whatever.
