LOUIS. column shall be headed for ratifying, and the recond column shall be headed for rejecting; the names of all qualified voters, who shall vote as aforesaid, for ratifying or rejecting the aforesaid constitution, shall be inserted itl the appropriate columns of the said book, and returns shall be made in conformity to the provisions of this act. 1 12. It shall be the duty of the governor to lay before the general assembly, at their first regular session after said election, the returns of said election, and if it shall appear to said general assembly in joint meeting that a majority of all the votes given at the election have ratified the proposed constitution, it shall be so resolved, and thereupon the proposed constitution shall become the constitution of this state, and the former constitution shall be wholly abolished. Approved, January 6th, 1 835. CONVENTION. An act suPidemental to an act, to provide for the call of a Convention. Be it enacted by tho General Assembly of the State of Missouri, as follows: § 1. In case there shall be a convention called, to form. a new constitution for this state, it shall be the duty of the governor, to ordels an election in each new county, which has or may be orglinized, at this present session; and upon such order, each new county shall be entitled to elect one member to said convention.
