Be it enacted by thte General A8Sem- Registration. ly of Maryland, That there shall be added to the Code of Public General Laws, a new Article, bearing the title Registration, under which shall be arranged by titles and sections, as in other Articles of said Code, the laws to be made by the General Assembly on the subjects of the Registry of Births, Marriages, Deaths and Voters, as required in Article third of the Constitution, sections fbrty- one and forty-nine, and such other subjects of Registration as the Legislature may enact and direct. CHAPTER 160. AN ACT to add a new Article to the Code of Pased March Public General Laws, to be entitled Public 24, 1806. Instruction, providing a uniform system of Free Public Schools for the State of.Maryland, and to repeal all existing laws inconsistent therewith. SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem- Uniform sys- tem of free bly of Maryland, That there shall be a uniform public schools. system of Free Public Schools according to the provisions of this act, in each county of the State and in every city now incorporated or which may hereafter be incorporated, and the provisions of this law shall be added to the Code of Public Gen- eral Laws under the title Public Instruction.
