And be it enacted, That said company maynegotate shall have the power to negotiate a loan or loans loans, but aro rohibited to an amount not at any time exceeding two-thirds banking lVl-of the actual capital, bona fide, paid in upon its bonds to be issued under the seal of the company and subscribed by the President and Secretary thereof, and to be secured by mortgage or other- wise, upon its property or any part of it; but said company shall not issue any note, token or device to be used as currency nor exercise any banking privileges whatever. In force. See. 6. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect from its passage, and may be repealed, altered and amended at the pleasure of the General Assembly. CHAPTER 49.
