Be -it enctclcd by the Tenerat .Assen- Into thn St.tc. bly qf Mllarylca(l, That George Davis, of Kent county, in the State of Delaware, be and he is hereby authorised and empowered to bring into this State, and work on his land in Cecil county, and also in kitchen or house vork on said lainds, his negro slaves, male and Ibmale, being in the State of Delaware, and to remove them into the State of Delaware, and to return them into the State of Maryland, aforesaid, from time to time, as circumstances may make it expedient, fbr the Provisos. purposes of labor, as albresaid ; Provicdd, such slaves have not beeU convicted in the State of Delaware, of crimes that would authorise expul- sion or transportation from tme State, and, Pro- ed .futher, that befbre the first introduction of such slaves into this State, the said George Davis, shall make a list of such slaves, their names and ages, and affix an affidavit to the same made be- fbre a Notary Public, in the State of Delaware, or before a Justice of the Peace, in the State of Maryland, that the said slaves are not to be intro- duced into this State for the purpose of sale, but with a boiza fick intention of being worked in said State, in Cecil county, aforesaid ; and that such list and affidavit shall be filed with the clerk of the Circuit Court for Cecil county, to be re- corded.
