Arun del county, be and he is hereby authorised, entitled and empowered, to have, hold, own and keep, in the State of Maryland, a certain negro man, named Tom Boteler, as his slave for lifoe, sold under the act of eighteen hundred and forty- nine, chapter one hundred and twenty-four, entit- tled a supplement to as act respecting the pun- ishiment of slaves,' and purchased by the said Joshua Brown, as a slave for life, as aforesaid.
