Be it eitacIed by /te General As. kc, sembly of Maryland, That the inhabimants of the town of Oxford, in Talbot county, and all other persons holding real property in said towvn, and residents thre- of, shall be, and they are hereby constituted and made a body corporate, by the name of the Commissioners of' Oxford, and as such shall have succession; and by their corporate name may sue and be sued, pleatl and be impleaded, grant, receive, and do all other acts its natural persons ; and may purchase and hold real, per- sonal and mixed property, or dispose of the same for the benefit of the said town ; andi may have and use a common seal, which may he broken or altered at plea- SUre.
