AN ACP to provide for the General Valuation and Passed May Assessment of Property Qn is Ssate. 152. SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General As. valuatil,. sembly of Maryland, That all the property, real, per- sonal and mixed, and of nl kinds and descriptions whatsoever, now by law liable to be valued and asses. hed, and chargeable with taxes in this State, shall be valued agieeably to the directions of this act, and shall be chargeable according to such valuation, with the public assessment. Si~o. 2. And be it enacted, That to facilitate brnd Baltimore expedite the assessments, Baltimore city shall be divid- ,ity. ed into ten assessment districts, upon tl6 basis of the present division of the city into wards, wheteof wards numbered one and two, shall constitute tie first district; and wiards numbered three and four, shall constitute the second district ; and wads numbered five and six, shall constitute the third district ; and wards nunlbdied seven and eight, shall constitute the fonith district ; and wards numbered nine and ten, shall constitute the fifth district ; and wards numbered eleven and twelve, shall constitute the sixth disrict ; and wards numbered thir- teen and fourteen, shtll constitute the seventh district ; and wards numbered fifteen and sixteen, shall consti- tute the eighth district ; and wards numbered seven. teen and eighteen, shall constitute the ninth district; and wards numbered nineteen and twenty, shall con- stitute tho tenth district ; that Baltimore county shall Baltimore co. he divided into three assessment districts, according to the preseit division of said county into election districts, whereof election districts numbered one, two, three and four, shall constitute the fust district ; and election dis- 50 The quality of these images represent the quality of the microfiche that was digitized.
