Sbject tothe  SEcTIoN 1. Be it enacted b/ the General Assembly.

lit f ahc 9of llaryland, That from and after the passage of this
p ISIS,..... act, all.lands hereafer to be taken up under escheat
warrants, shall be subject as to limitation of possession,
to the provisions of the act of eighteen hundred and
eighteen, chapter ninety.
Limited time  SEC. 2. .1lnd be it farl/her enacted, That. all escheat
toexecute war- warrants hereafter to be issued, whether originid or re-
rants ot escheat                         wcendn
newed, slall be execute( within we oe ind18, rnd ths
renewal of tile same shall be alhwed in cases when
such warrants shall not l1ave been executed within
twelve months from the (late of issue.
.Renewals, &e. SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That nil escheat wnrrants
heretofore issued, and by existing lows or the practice
of the land office, entitled to renewal within six mnonths
from the (late of tile passage of this act, shall be en.
titled to one further renewal, .and no more, aud that
the provisions of this act shall in no manner apply
to, or aflect the rights of any parties who have taken
put such warrants, or who may reiceW the amnle as above
provided in this section.

1850.                       County.
Preamble.    WtEnaEAs, it is represented to this General Assembly,
that Thomas MaIon, of Charles counly, pending the
act passed December session, eighteen lhundred ind
forty-nine, entitled, nn act. to repeal all laws prohibiting
the introduction of slaves into this State, and a few
weeks before the final passage of said act, introdtced
into Charles countly from the State of Virginia, five
negro slaves, which became his property by inheritance
as one of the heirs of George lMason, of Virginia-
Therefore,
Exempted  Be it enuu'tcd by the General Assrwbly (f lMlar!/land,
from taxation That the said Thomas Mdason, shall be and he is hleie-
by exerripted from th. tax iltiposed by the then exist-
