plied, be, and the same is hereby repealed, made null and
void.

and .llauunission.
P.eamble     WiHErEAs, William Hartshorn, and Samuel G. Criflith,
trustee of said Hartshorn, by deed dated the fifth day of
November, in the year eighteen hundred and ninet-c'n, sold
to William Wilson, junior, for  term of seven years, flon
the first day of January, in the year eighteen hundrtd and
twenty, a mulatto female slave nanied Chancy, which deed
declared and stipulated, that said slave slouhi be free at t.e
end of said term; and ichereus, said deed has been, through
inadvertence omitted to be recorded within the time pre-
scribed by law, for recording deeds of manumissiou;-
Therefore,
Need ecordeds  Be it enacted by the GOcneral Assembly of .llarylnd, That
the said deed be, und the same is he:eby authoris.d to he
recorded, and that said deed, xyhen so recorded, it recorded
before the first day of October next, shall have the same
confirmed  validity and effect, to all intents and purposes, as if the samte
had been recorded within the time prescribed as aforesaid,
as to the said Chancy, and as to her children Ellen Barker
and Edward Barker.

she is hereby divorced from her husband, James Wilcox,
of Kent county; and the marriage contract, heretofore had
and solemnized between them, to be henceforth null and
