ted. to transmit forthwith, copies of the act incorporating the Chesapeake
and Ohio canal companyj passed by the letishlmture of Maryland at its lre-
sent session to the prtsmdent of the'senate and speaker of the house of repre-
sentatives of the congres& of the United States, requesting that it may be
submitted to their respective bodies; and copies to fle governors of Virginia
and Pennsylvania, witli a request that they will submit the same to their rte
