James Burns, shall within twelve months after he is capable of be- De.Ses.1823
coming a citizen, naturalize himself agrecably to the laws of the Uni-
tcd StateM, hut if the said James Burns should die before he becomes
naturalized, nothing in this proviso shall prevent ihim from transmit-
ting or transferring his said property by descent or deyise to any per-
son or persons, being a citizen or citizens of the United States, and
residi~lg therein, capahle in law to hold the same.
CIIAPTER 5.
An act to alter and change the name of Samuel Busick Jump to Samuel Jump  Passed Dec.
Busick.                            5, 1823.

Ann's county, he has devised a part of his etate to Samuel Busick
Jump, provided he shall have his name changed to Samuel Jump Bu-
'ick.
Sec. I. Be it enacted by the General .Assembl!/  f _raryland, That Name chang-
the wtinie of Samuel l.;ick Jump be, and is hereby changed and al-  ed.
tered unto the name of Samuel Jump Busick, and it shall and may be
lavful for the said Samuel Busick Jump at all tines hereafter, to be
called and lknown by and hold and use the name of Samuel Jump Bu-
sick, and by this name to purchase, sell, convey or devise, and to sue
and be sued in any court of law or equity.  .1
2. AIad be it enactedl, That all securities, promises, contracts, Actsconfirm-
-  ed.
as.Urances, deeds and lawful acts whatsoever hereafter to be made,
or done by or to the said Samuel Busick Jump, by the name of Sam-
ucl jump ltsick, shall be of the same force and effect, and equally a-
vail to all intents and purposes, as if the name of Samuel Jump flu-
sick, had been the true and proper name.

Sec. 1. Bc it enacted by the General Assembly of lary/and, That May Im irt a

by authoriscd at any time after the passi'age of this act to remove and
bring into this state a certain negro Slave named Cyrus, aiid that the
removal of the said slave to this state shall not in any manner entitle
him to his freedom: Provided, that thle said slave when removed a-
greeably to the provisions of this act, shall be registered anong the
records of Prince George's county court, within three mncnths after
his renoval.
