which thi is a supplement, and that so much of the act afore-
said as is repugnant tolthe provisions of this act be and tlhe

Sie. 1. BE IT EN&ACTED by t'hc General Assembly of       May import:
Maryland, That William   H. De Courcy of Queen Ann's 51aves.
coity be, and he is h1ut'eby authorised and empowered, to re-
move, import and bring into. this state, at any time within one;
year after the passage of this act, any negro slave or slaves
resident of A~exandria county iu the Disti;ict of Columbia,
which he the said William t1. De Courcy may have become
entitled to by marriage, any law to the contrary notwithstand-
ing ; P2rovided, the said William H. De Courcy shall within  Provia ,
three mouths after the passage of this act, make out in writing
and deliver to tlhe clerk of Queen-Ann's county court, a cer-
tificate or list of said slave or slaves, stating therein the names,
ages and sexes of the same, which certificate the clerk is here-
by authorised and required to record, in the same manner as is
direcled by the act entitled  an act relating to negroes and to
repeal the acts of assembly therein mentioned, passed at No.
vember session seventeen hundred and ninety six..

An act for the benefit of the heirs of David Gcmnill, late  Passed Jan,
oJ the City of Bultimore deceased.          ,316.
See. 1. BE L't' ENA CTED by the General dssenbly of Trustee Ma ,
Maiyland, That the orphan's court of Baltimore county be, be appont
and they are hereby authorised and empowered if they think it
will be advantageous to the heirs of David Gemmill late of the
city of Baltimore deceased, to appoint a trustee to sell and dis-
pose of all the real and. leasehold estate of the said David
Gemmill in the city of Baltimore, at such time and upon sulh
terms as shall be prescribed by the said orphan's court, and up-
on the payment of the whole of the purchase money, the said
trustee shall convey the said real or leasehold estate to the pur-
chaser or purchasers, which conveyance being duly made shall
be sufficient to convey all the right, title, clain and interest of,
in and to the said real or leasehold estate, which the said Da.
vid Gemmill had at the time of his death and which descended.
to his heirs.
2. AND BE IT ENACTED, That the trustee to be ap. Ron4.
pointed by the orphan's court, before he proceeds to exercise
any of the powers to be vested in him by virtue of said ap-
pointment, shall give bond to the State of Maryland, in such
penalty and with such. security as. the orphan's court of said
county shall direct, for the faithful performance of all and sin-
gular the powers by this act directed to be vested in him, which
bond shall be recorded by the register of, wills for the said
county, and the same or an office copy thereof may be put iii
suit by any person or persons interested in the performance of
