Snyder to remove Passed Nov, his Negroes Jrorn the State Virginia, into 19, 1812. this state. Sac, 1. BE IT ENACTED by the General As- Ile may re. 'sembly of Mari/land, That the said Charles L. Sny- move them der be, and he'is hereby authorised aid eipowered within 1z at any time or times within twelve months after the months. ,passage of this act, to remove and bring into this staelhis four'negrocs, Ned, Anna, Charlotte and Sa. rah, that he now has. a bona fide absolute right unto, in the same manner that lie might or could have done at the time of his own removal into this state, any law to the contrary notwithstanding. 2. AND BE IT ENACTED, That the said Negroes to be Charles L. Snyder register the said negroes in Alle- registered. gany county court, in the same manncr as lie by law would have been compelled tO do, had he have brought them into this state within one year after his removal from Virginia as aforesaid. 3. AND BE IT ENACTED, That nothing Heshallnot herein contained shall be construed to enable the said dispose of said Charles L. Snyder to sell or dispose of any such slave negroes under three years or slaves as aforesaid, until they shall have resided residence un- within this state three whole years after the passage less in certain of this act, except in cases of disposition by last will cases. and testament, and disposition by law for bona fide debts, or consequent upon intistacy.
