as herein provided for, they shall be subrogated to all of the rights of the
State under said judgment, and shall be entitled to collect by execution of
said judgment the full amount so secured by them from the said. R. F.
Hodges, late Sheriff of St. Helena, and from S. A. Brady and William
Dennis, co-sureties on said Sheriff's bond, one-fourth each of said amount.
SEc. 3. Be it further enacted, &c., That this act take effect from and
after its passage.

longing to said Department.
The Governor  SECTION 1. Be it enacted by; the Senate and House of Repnresentatives of
o ause an o tile the State of Louisiana, in General Assembly convened, That immediately
roperty belonu, after the passage of this act it shall be the duty of the Governor to cause

all other like property belonging to said Department, to be sold as is
hereafter required.

Orleans, if practicable, by an auctioneer to be designated by the Governor,
after not less than sixty days' notice on a credit of one and two years, the
purchaser or purchasers giving bond and good security to the satisfac-
tion of the Governor, and that this act take effect immediately after its
passage.
