             person shall transact busiuess in the name of a partner not interested in
             i's firm, and when the designation  and company or  & Co., is used,
             shall represent an actual partner or partners.
               SEC. 2. Be it further enacted, 4-c., That any person offending against the
rending  chk ,e. provisions of this act shall, upon conviction thereof, be deemed guilty of
             a misdemeanor   and be punished  by a fine not exceeding one thousand
             dollars, recoverable before any court of competent jurisdiction.

              SECTION  1. Be it enudled by the Senate and House of Representatives of
  Slaves roun in the State of Louisiana, in General Assnbly convened, That if any slave

parish or city of liquors, sent by his or her owner or master, overseer or employer, after

             October; or if any slave shall be found at any time in any of the afore-
             said mentioned places, unless sent as aforcsaid with a written order from
             his or her master, or owner, employer or overseer, and shall there remain

             or clerk, barkeeper or porter, or any emplyce whatever of such establish-
             ment, any alcoholic drink or mixture, shall be subject to arrest by the
             police of the city or parish, and be found guilty of a misdemeanor and
             punished at the discretion of the Recorder or Justice of the Peace, within
