residents. foregoing section, it shall be the duty of the District Judge, within whose
district said parish is lying, to grant an order of seizuro and sale, upon the
affidavit of the Sheriff or other levee tax-collector that publication has bece
made as required by the foregoing section, and the taxes due thereon have
not been paid, and that the property subject to the assessment, or so mnuch
thereof shall be seized and sold to pay such assessment and all costs. of the
proceedings, and shall appoint an attorney ad-hoc, upon whom notice of the
granting of such order and notice of seizure shall be made upon the sale
made by the Sheriff, or any levee tax collector, as above provided for, the
purchaser of such property shall take a good and valid title to become
vested at the end of twelve months from the date of the sale, if before the
expiration of thi-t time the owner of such property, or any one claiming an
interest therein, held at the date of the sale, does not pay the amount for
which it was sold, with twenty-five per cent. interest thercon.
SEC. 0. Be it thrther enacted, &c., That all sums due to said Board of
