Changing the name of Albert Jefferson Cooper to Jefferson Vandewater.
Namechanged. SECrIox 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and Iouse of Representatives of the
State of Louisiana, in General Assembly convened, That the name of Al ert
Jefferson Cooper, of the parish of St. Mary, a minor, aged about twelve
years, and son of Mrs. Eliza Yaudewater, and step-son of lWilliam Van-
dewater, be and the same is hereby changed to Jefferson Vandewater.
When this act SEC. 2. Be it furtier enacted, 4-c., That this act shall take effect from

Marmillon. of the parish of St. John the Baptist.
otalgeorrenue SEcTION 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and Itoie Of 1?qresentatives of the
authorized. State of Louisiana, in General Assembly convened, That in the case of the
State ;!s. the slave Eugene, the property of Valsiifarmillonl, of the parish
of St. John the Baptist, charged with the numler of the lnto Emile Daunioy,
the tribunal organized for the trial of said slave in conformity with cx-
isting laws, be and is hereby authorized to change the venue in said case,
either in behalf of the State or of the accused, to ity adjoilillg parish or
Judicial District, upon the application of the District Attorney or of the
accused.
Copies to be SEC. 2. Be it further enucted, &c., That it shall be the duty of the said
made ont. tribunal to make out a copy of the allidavit, indictment, and other papers
appertairting to the cause, and to deliver them to the tribunal of the
Duty or the tri. parish or district to which the same shall have been removed, which tri-
