of losses after the premiums and all other cash means have been
exhausted, unitl said fund shall. amount to three hundred thousand
dollars; after which, it shall be lawful to appropriate the same as
the Directors may judge expedient, but the said fund to amouit of
three hundred thousand dollars, shall always bc held as a protec-
tion for the capital as well as the assured.
apital stock  S90. 10. Be it further enacted, do., That the capital stock of
     er- said company shall be considered personal property, and shall be
now andurnder transfei'red according to such rules and under such restrictions as
the same may the Board of Directors may prescibe; no holder of which shall be
be transferred. allowed to transfer, the same whilst indebted to the company; nor
will such transfer be valid until such indebtedness, whether due or
not, is otherwise secured to the satisfaction of the Directors. The
company shall also have the right to requird the payment of all
premiums,'notes, accounts and other indebtedness, from persons in-
suring with said company, before they shall be bound to payto
them, or parties holding under, by reason of any assignment or
transfer, the cash pro rata divideid to which the parties would oth-
erwise be entitled, any law of this State to the contrary notwith-
standing.
