To prolibit the emancipiation of Slaves.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and Rouse of Representa-
ncipation lives of the State of ouisiana in General Assembly convened, That

For the relief of L. C. Morris.
Re it enacted by the Senate and Rouse of Representatives of the
$51i apropri. State of Louisiana in General Assembly convened, That the sum of
Med, to be paid fifty dollars be and the same is hereby appropriated, out of any
to L..Morr Ia. noneyin the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to L. C. Morris,
of the parish of East Baton Rouge, in full, compensation for his at-
tending as a witness befi:o the Legislature in New Orleans, in the
year 1844 or 1845, and the State Treasurer is hereby' authorized to
pay the same, on the warrant of the Apditor of Public Accounts, to
said L. C. Morris.
