WiHEREAS, the Grosso Tete and Baton Rouge Blank Road Company has been created under the Act of the Legislature, entitled An Act Preamble, for the ornanization of Corporations for works of Public Inprove- mnt andIUtility, approved March eleven, eighteen -hundred and fifty-two, which said Corporation was enacted in the following words, viz: CHARTER OF THE GROSSE TETIC AND BATON ROUGE PLANK ROAD COMPANY. We, the undersigned, agree to form ourselves into a Corporation under the laws of the State of Louisiana, as particularly set forth in an Act of the Legislature of Louisiana, entitled An Act for the organization of Corporations for works of Public Improvement and Utility, for the purpose of constructing a Plank Road from the Mis- sissippi river, opposite the city of Baton Rouge, aind thence along the most eligible route to a central point on the Bayou Grosse Tote, the present proposed terminus; and hereafter to some point on the Bayou Maringouin, that wilI be convenient and advantageous to the people of said Bayou, to be by them selected with a view, also, to the fiurther extension of said Rood to Bayou Alabama; and for that purpose we
