To Aananlpato June Mary, the lave and daughter of Patsy, f. w. c.
SECTION 1. He it enacerd bY the Senate and House of Repro-
sentatives of the State qf Louisiana, in Genewl ilssembly con-
tuIu  W 0. ra MI: rened, That Patsy, free woman of color, thrmerly belonging to Alma-
pateJuneMary. wn runthe Iobert, be, and she is hereby authorized, by not before any
tise$lateo r   Nmat Nary Public in the parish ofEast Baton Rouge, to elmancipate Jane
Mary, her daughter and slave, and upon the execution of said Act,
the said slave, Jane Mary, shall be considered as fully and completely
onaneipated, with permission to remain in the Sate.
When thls Act  SE. 2. Re it further enacted, I-v., That this Act ahall go into

Snermo 1. Be it enacted b'y the Senate and House of Repre-
sentaties of the State qf Touisiana, in. General Assembly con-

donia, as compensation fr actual expenditures incurred by him in In-
proving the navigation of the Bayou Courtablean, in the parish of St.
Laudry, in the itonth of January, one thousand eight hundred and
fifty-three, by dislodging a raft that. had formed in said Bayou, and by
erecting a break-water on the Atchathlaya River, at the mouth of said
Bayou, so as to prevent the drift fr'ou reacumulating therein.

Improvemnt Fund. dred and seventy-four dllarsand thurteeu cents be hereby appropria-
ted out of any money in the Internal Inprovement fund not other-
wise appropriated, and be paid to said James Johnson, on his draft,
attested by the Auditor of Public Accounts.
