For the Reliet of Thomas P. Iall and the Administrator of Wyley J. McElroys
decoased.
WTIinRAS, 01l the     of November, A. D. eighteen hundred and
forty-nine, Thomas P. Hall, as Superintendent of Public Schools
Preamble,       in the parish of Do Soto, made a sale of five-eighths of section six-
tPen, in township ten, of range cleven, to one Wyloy J. McElroy,
for the price and man of eight hundred dollars; and whereas said
Hall has paid into the Treasury the sun of one hundred and sixty
dollars, and deposited with the Treasurer the notes of said McElroy
fotthe balance of said purchase price; and whereas the aforesaid
salo has been declared null, and said section of land now belongs to
the State; and whereas the said Hall has refunded to the said Mc-
Elroy the said sunt of one hundred and sixty dollars; Wherefore,
Be it enacted bY the Senate and Htouse of Representatives of
the State of Louiszana, in General Assembly conrencd, That the
Treasurer nutber. Treasurer of the Statb be, and lie is hereby authorised and required
to rinorn , to pay to the said Thomas 1. Hall, or his order, the said sun of one
notes.         hundred and sixty dollars, out of' any money in the Treasury not
otherwise appropriated, and to return to the admiiiistrator of said
McElroy, the notes given us aforesaid.

judgment being rendered in favor of the plaintiff, decreeing him to be
