Sec. 2. Be itfitrther enacted, t.c., That the said Ellen. Wilson
shall'be hereafter called Ellen Wilson Upton, and shall be entitled
adoptioofsaid legally, and by will, or donation enter vivos, to take from the said
John Upton and his wife Mary Ballingot Upton or either of them,
whatever she might be able to take if she were the legitimate child of
said Upton and wife. Provided, however, that the portion reserved
by law to forced heirs,. if any there be, shall not be affected by such
adoption, will or donation.
Sec. 3., Be it further enacted, 4c., That this act shall not take ef-
