To emancipate Robert II. Doherty and Sarab A. Smith his wife.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-

parish of West Feliciana, be, and they are hereby emancipated and
invested with all the rights and obligations of those who have ob.

vices to her owner.
He it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
Stale of Louisiana, in General Assembly convened, That the testa-

to carry into effect the will of said deceased by emancipating his
slave Nanny for faithful and meritorious services rendered by her du-
ring the long and painful illness of her said master, any law to the
contrary notwithstanding. Provided, however, that said slave shall
leave the State of Louisiana within thlee months of her emancipa-
tion, never to return ; and that in default of her compliance with this
condition, this act shall not take effect.
