To emancipate the slave Aspasie.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted, by the Senate and House of Representatives
Emancipation of the State of Louisiana, in General Assembly convened: That the slave
.;ave Aspasie, aged thirty years, the property of Charles Diggs, of the parish
of Natchitoches, be, and she is hereby, emancipated and released from
the bonds of slavery; all the requisites prescribed by existing laws being,
and they are hereby, dispensed with.
This act whea SEc. 2. Be it further enacted, etc.: That this act shall take effect from

Be it resolved, by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
State of Louisiana, in General Assembly convened: That the State
Improvement Engineer be, and he is hereby, authorized and required to order one of
b, thu  athe State boats, with a detachment of the State hands, to bayou Jacob,
of Ibervile. in the parish of Iberville, in order to remove forthwith the raft which
has lately been formed in said bayou, and which threatens, by ckecking
and obstructing the flow of the current, to overflow the banks of the same.
