For the relief of the New Orleans Catholic Association for the relief of Male Orphans
and of the New Orleans Female Orphan Asylum.
Be it enacted, by the Senate and House of Representatives of the State
Appropradon of Louisiana, in General Assembly convened. That the sum of three thou.

For the emancipation of the slave Florestine and children.
SECTION 1. He it enacted, by the Senate and House of Representatives
stanumission of the State of Louisiana, in General Assembly convened: That the mu.
slaves cenainlatto woman Florestine, and her seven children, to wit: Victoria, aged
Proviso.  ten years; Charles, aged eight years; David, aged five years and nine
months; Thomas, aged four years and six months; William, aged three
years; Mary Elizabeth, aged one year anld five months; and Laura, aged
three months; all the property of David H1. Boult, of the parish of Nat-
chitoches, be, and they are hereby, emancipated and released from the
bonds of slavery, all the requisites prescribed by the existing laws being
hereby dispensed with. Provided that this act shall not be so construed
as to interfere with the interests of third persons.
SEC. 2. Be it further enacted, etc.: That this act shall take effect from
