Additional parish of East Feliciana shall have power and authority to alter and er.
tablish the boundaries of police jury wards, at their discretion, and to pass
yof a~ such regulations and ordinances as they may deem proper and expedient to
rouen promote the general interest and welfare of said parish, and also to estab-
lish a good and efficient police, to carry into effect all the said regulations
and ordinances of said jury; provided the same are not contrary to the
laws of this State, and that said police jury may punish by fine not to ex.
ceed one hundred dollars at any one time, any person who shall be guilty
of violating, refusing or neglecting to comply with any order given under
authority of such regulations and ordinances as may be passed by said
police jury; and that the same may be recovered by suit brought in the
name of the parish before any justice of the peace therein for the benefit of
the parish of East Feliciana.

Plaquemines, in the parish of Iberville, shall there remain until claimed by
their owners, or otherwise disposed of according to law, any other law
now in force to the contrary notwithstanding.
