Children.    Snc. 4. Be it further enacted, 4c. That children under ten years 6f
age, shall not be subject to the tax imposed by this act.
SEc. 5. Be it furthcr enacted, 8. , That ithall be the duty of the
Conlectors to President and Administrators of the Charity Hospital, to abpoint one or

No. 102.-AN ACT for the Rellef of Ttlenno Baulati of the City of Now Orieins, f. m. c., one
of the Veterans of 1814 and '15.
Be. it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives qf the State
of Louisiana, in General Assembly convened, That from and after the
passage of this act, Etienne Saulet, a f. M. c., of the city of New Orleans,
commissioned by Wm. C. C. Claiborne, on the twelfth of October,
eighteen hundred and twelvo, as Second Lieutenant of the li4ttalion of
Militia, composed of certain chosen men of color, be, and h.is hereby
allowed, during his natural life-time, a monthly allowance of ten dollars,
payable monthly. on the warrant of said Etienne Saulet, out o'f any
monies in the State Treasury not otherwise appropriated.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the State
of Louisiana, in General Assembly convened, Thatthe act number eighty-
one, approved March twenty-fifth, eighteen hundred and. forty, incor-
porating the Phmnix Fire Company Number One, of Natchitoches, be,
and the same is hereby revived in favor of Thomas P. Jones, Edward
C. Nisbet, Jules Lacals, George G. Fuller, T. Wakefield, Jr., Augustus
Seegor, John Perry, and those who may associate with them, and their
successors in office; the said persons, their associates and successors, to
enjoy all the privileges and rights conferred by the act first above re-
ferred to.
