That there shall be a Precinct of Election established at the house of Mr. Samuel Roe, residing in the One !I Parish upper part of the Parish of Rapides, on the north side of Red River; and of Iaputes. that all elections for Electors of President, Vice-President, Governor of the. State, Members of Congress, State Senators and Members of the to tactions Legislature shall be conducted in the same manner as at other Precincts to tbe held. of Elections in said Parish, any law to the contrary notwithstanding. SEC. 3. BeC it further enacted, 4c. That there shall be an Election Pre- cinct on Little River, in the Parish, of Catahoula, at the residence of of Wjrnarsh Samuel Glenn; the elections at said Precinct shall be held on the first day of the general elections in this State. SEC. 4. Be it further enacted, 4c. That there shall be and is hereby Twoaddi Ional created Election Precincts at the residence of Mr. John Banester, precincts In cat. and another at the residence of George W. Whitington, in the Parish of atioula. Catahoula, and that the elections be held at said Precincts as follows, to wit: at the said John Bariester's residence on the first day of the gene- to eedtions ral elections, and at said Whitington's on the second day of said elec- tions. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the State qf Louisiana in General Assembly convened, That there shall be two ad- ditional precincts of election established in and for the Parish of De Soto: one at or near the house of Fran9ois Rembin; and the other at or near the house of John E. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the State of Louisiana in General Assembly convened, That the Treasurer of the State be authorised and directed to pay to W. & B. Voorhies, or their heirs and assigns, the sum of six hundred dollars, out of any moneys in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated,.it being in full compensation to them for the negro slave Joe, executed by the citizens of the Parish of Concordia, and the slave Frank, declared by the citizens of Avoyelles to be an outlaw, and executed by them.
