Be It further enacted, 4v. That the seventy-second section of Time prescri . said Act be so amended, that the 'person appointed to collect the fines edto collect shall be bound to collect and pay them over within thirty days from the time he receives the lists, reserving however his per centage; and should any person amenable to the fine imposed have moved away from the Duty or the Col- Parish and left nothing from which the fine can be made, the Collector lector. shall show that fact by his own affidavit, on the evidence of some credi- ble-witness, which evidence shall be filed with the Pay-Master, and shall discharge the Collector from any accountability for said fine. SEC. 3. Be it further enacted, 4-c. SEc. 5. Be it further enacted, 4c. That the fund created by the inflic- tion and collection of fines for, each Regiment or Battalion, shall be ad- uow fines to be ministered by, a Board composed of the Brigadier-General, the .Colonel adinistered. or officer commanding the Regiment. or Battalion, and the senior officer of the volunteers of the Brigade. SEc. 6. Be it further enacted, 4. That the funds created by the col- Application or lection of fines aforesaid shall be applied to the paymentof the necessary fines expenses of the Regiment or Battalion, under the direction of the Board aforesaid. SC. 7. Be it further enacted, 4. That the surplus funds, over and above the necessary expenses of the Regiment or Battalion, shall be paid Application or over by the Regiment or Battalion Pay-Master to the Brigade Pay- surplus funds. Master, and shall be under the direction of a Board to administer the same, appropriated to the use and benefit of the volunteer corps of the Brigade. SEC. 5. 'Be it further enacted, 4v.
