No. 79.-AN ACT for the Relief of Robert B. Brashear. Whereas a negro man named Rolla, the property of Robert B. Bra- shear, was executed in the Parish of St. Mary, in the year eighteen hun- dred and forty-two: Therefore, Bc it enacted by the Senate and louse of Representatires of the State of Louisiana in General Assembly convened, That the Treasurer of the State be and is hereby autborised to pay to Robert B. Brashear the sum allowed by law to owners of negroes executed under the laws of this State, on the presenting the certificate of the Judge of the Parish of St. Mary, showing that said negro man Rolla was executed under the laws of this State, and satisfactory evidence that the said slave was worth more than three hundred dollars. No. S.-AN ACT relative to the Public Buildlngs of the Stste and the State Library. SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and louse of Representatirces of the State of Louisiana, in General Assembly conrcned, That the sumt of two thousand dollars be and the same is hereby appropriated out of Appropriat on any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to pay for such made repairs as may be found necessary to the public buildings on the State- house Square, so as to make them suitable and convenient for the use of the officers of the State, and to supply them with the necessary furniture, to be drawn from the Treasury on the warrant of the Governor, and paid for such repairs or furniture as he may direct. SEc. 2. Be it further enacted, 4-c. That the use and occupation of the Roams to beas* several rooms and buildings on said square be assigned to such oficers faigned to offi- and for such purposes hy the Governor as he may deem proper from time cer. to time, and that they be taken carc of and kept by such persons as he may direct.
