SEC. 6. Be it further enacted, c.; That all acts, or
Rlepeal.  parts of acts, contrary to the provisions of this act, be,
and the same are hereby repeated.

No. 154.--AN ACT to increase the revenue of the State of Louisiana.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted, by the Senate and House
of Representatives of the State of Louisiana, in gene-
ral assembly convjened, That for the year one thousand
Direct tax eight hundred and forty-two, and every year thereafter
apportioned.  until otherwise provided for by law, there shall be
assessed a direct tax on real estate, to be apportioned
among and paid by the different parishes of the state. of
Louisiana in the manner following, to wit:
By the parish of Orleans, fifty-five thousand five hun-
dred and fifty dollars.
By the parish of Jefferson, eight thousand eight hun-
dred dollars.
By the. parish of Plaquemines, one thousand six hun-
dred and fifty dollars.
By the parish of St. Bernard, sixteen hundred and
fifty dollars.
By that part of the parish of Orleans situated on the
right bank of the river, five hundred dollars.
By the parish of St. Charles, twenty-two hundred
dollars.
'By -the parish of St. John the Baptist, twenty-two
hundred dollars.
