tc State of Louiiana 'in GoneralAssky convened, That the
.   s     Secretary of State be requested to procure on or before the
ceStal of the first of December next an exact copy of the last census of
State for 1. this State and to deposit the same among the archives of the-
State, and that the State Treasurer be authorised to pay on
the warrant of the Goernor any expense that may be, neces-
sarily incurred in procuring, said copy.

[No. 92.]-RESOLUTION
To'protect the Credit of the State of Louisiana.
Treamble.  Whereas in purguance of and in confonnity to an act of the
Legislature of the State of Louisiana passed on the
twenty eighth day of March A. D. 1839, entitled  An
Act to expedite the construction of the Clinton and Port
Hudson Rail Road, the bonds of the State have been is-
sued i favor of the Clinton and Port Hudson Rail Road
Company, for the sum of four hundred and ninety eight
thousand dolla. bearing interest at the rate of five per
cent per annum, payable semi-annually, and the principal
of said bonds being reimbursable in ten, twenty and thirty
.ynars.-And whereas, it is declared by the second and
fourth sections of said act, that by the more' filure of
said Company to pay the principal and interest due on said
bond, or either of them, and the payment thereof by the
State, the road shall  become the property of the State.
And whereas, the road is noew completed abid all the neces-
sary machinery and fixtures for the successful operation
thereof have been placed thereon by. the said Company,
and in general all improvements made fai the use and
