Be it resolred by the Senate and Houe of Reprsestatives of
Nariganon of the State ofLouisiana in General Assembly convened, That the
sy'ou rtrre. Board of Public Works, be and they are hereby authorised
and required to complete the improvements in the naviga-
tion of the Bayou Pierre Branch of Red River, from its
head to its mouth, as soon as the same can be done without
detriment to other Public Works now in progress, or already
ordered by the General Assembly.

To create an &ice of Justice of the Peace for the Town of ilneburg.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House ofilepresentatives ofthe
State of Louisiana in General Assembly convened, That the
Juitffcq he Governor be and is hereby authorised to appoint a Justice of
the Peace in and for the Town of Milneburg on Lake Pont-
chartrain, who shall be vested with the same jurisdiction, and
entitled to the same fees and emoluments as the law now
accords to the other Justices of the Peace within the Parish
of Orleans, provided however that the jurisdiction of said
Justice of the Peace shall not extend beyond the limits of the
said Town of Milneburg, and the establishments upon the
shores of Lake Pontchartrain within the Parish of Orleans.
