P'resdent to day for that purpose fixed, the said corporation shall not
on that account be dissolved, and it shall in such case be
the duty of the curate or of the President of the corpo-
ration to name as soon as possible, another day for the
election.
SECT. 6. Be it further enacted, 4c., That the annu-
nevenue never al revenue of the said corporation shall never exceed five
o eed $5000 thousand dollars, subject to distribution, any thing in the
provisions of this Act contained to the contrary notwith-
standing.
SECT. 7. Be it further enacted, 6c., That the said
corporatio corporation shall not be authorized to dispose or make
ofits funds. use of any of the funds belonging to the same for any
other purpose than the encouragement of education or
for the maintainance of the said Congregation as a reli-
gious and charitable institution.
SECT. 8. And be it further enacted, fc., That this

[No. 18.]-AN ACT
fror the relief of Benjamin Bryan of the Parish of East Baton Rouge.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Represen-
tatives of the State of Louisiana in General Assembly
convened, That the Treasurer of the State of Louisiana
Money order. be and he is hereby authorised .and required to pay to
,anto Benjamin Bryan keeper of the depot for runaway slaves
in the town of Baton Rouge, on the warrant of said Bryan,
the sum of two hundred and fifty-six dollars and eighty-
sevey and a half cents, in full compensation for keeping
and maintaining in the said depot the slave Jim, who
died therein in May eighteen hundred and thirty-nine,
out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appro-
priated.
