Fees.
SECT. 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of
Representatives of the State of Louisiana, in general
assembly convened, That whenever the plaintiff in a
cause shall be unknown to the clerk,,or shall not offer,
in the opinion of the clerk, suflicient guarantee for the
payment of the costs, the clerk shall have the right to re-
quire security, to cover the probable amount of costs,
inclusive of the sheriff's fees.

No. 66.-AN ACT for the relief of Anacharsis Luminain, Sheriff
of German Coast.
SECT. 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and Housc of
Representatives of the State of Louisiana, in general
assembly convened, That the state treasurer be, and. he
is hereby authorised, to pay to Anacharsis Luminais,
Sheriff of German Coast, out of any funds not otherwise
appropriated, the sum of thirty one dollars and ninety-
five cents.
SECT. 2. Be it further enacted, &c., That the
Compensation following sums shall be-paid to Edward Breau, Mde.
for slaves exe. Eugane Gaudet, Valery Gaudet, on their warrants, out
cuted.     of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated,
to wit: to Edw. Breau, nine hundred dollars for three
slaves executed in the parish of St. James ; to Mdo Eu-
gane Gaudet the sum     of three hundred dollars for
one slave executed in said parish ; to Valery Gaudet
three hundred dollars for one slave executed in said pa-
rish, and the further sum of ($300) three hundred dollars
be paid to James Purdon for the slave Jackson, convict-
ed and executed in the parish of Orleans.
SECT. 3. Be it further enacted, &c., That the
