ScT. 2. Be it furtAdr eacted, etc. That said Louis Htbert
be placed on the pensiou ist, and be entitled to draw for and re-
ceive out of the treasury of the State, eight dollars per month,
from and after the passage of this act, for and during the natu-
ral life of the said Louis -Hbert, to be paid by the treasurer of
the State, in quarterly payments of twenty-four dollars each,
on warrants drawn by 62 Louis Hdbert, and countersigned by
the parish judge of the parish of Lafayette.
SECT. 3. Be itfuthr enacted, 4c. That an annual pension
of eight dollars per month be, and the same is horeby allowed
to the widow of Lewis alias Hyacinthe Simon, a free man of
color, deceased, ex-captain of the company of grenadiers in the
battalion of colored men, commanded by Major Lacoste, which
pension shall be paid to the said widow, on her warrant, by the
State treasurer.
SeCT. 4. Be it further enacted, @re. That Jemima Brum-
field, now Jones, the widow of Ezekiel Brumfield, who died at
camp Morgan, during the late war, be and she is hereby allowed
a pension of eight dollars per month, for and during the period
of five years, to be paid on her warrant, out of any monies in
the treasury not otherwise appropriated, in quarterly annual in-
stalments.
Szcr. 5. And be it farther envacted, etc. That a pension of
fifteen dollors per month be paid to lieutenant Marans, late of
the forty-fourth regiment United States Infantry, on his warrant,
during his natural life.
