SWr. 8. Be itfurther enacted, dc. That the same fines an< penalties for wilfully injuring the property of the company, as extended by this act, shall accrue as is specified in the elev- enth section of the act to which this is an amendment. SECT. 9. And be it further enacted, kc. That the general superintendent of the Pontchextrain Rail Road, or his successors in office, bo entrusted with all the powers, given to the harbor master in the Port of New-Orleans, in relation to the removal of vessels, which shall not be removed by the captains or persons in charge of them, on the first notification; and the said' super- intendent shall have the power of assigning births for the ves- sels in the Pontchartrain harbor, at the lake end of the Road, and of removing them from the harbor, if they !should not be re- moved by the captain or persons having charge of them, on the first notification; and the owner or owners thereof shall be lia- ble for all damages caused to the company, and for all expenses for removing the same. Be it enactA by the Senate and House of Representatives of the State of Louisiana, in General Amsembty convened, That from and after the passage of this act, every free white male citizen, who shall have attained the age of twenty-one years, and resided at least one year previous to the day of election within the present limits of the town of Opelou- sas, and who, within one year previous to the said election, shall have paid, or been subject to pay, a State, parish or corporation tax, or have possessed, for six months, a real estate of the value of one hundred dollars, shall have a right to vote at the election Fines and pen~lties.
