RESOLUTION
Granting leave of absence to F. X. Martin, one of the Judges of the Su-
prerno Court.
Resolved by the Senate and Iouse of Representatives of
sence to Judge the State of Louisiana, in General Assembly convened, That
Martin.     leave of absence from the State be granted to Frangois Xa-
vier Martin, one of the Judges of the Supreme Court, for
six months, to commence from the first of June next.

AN ACT
To amend the act entitled An Act to incorporate the town of Jackson,
approved April 2d, eighteen hundred and thirty-two.
SECT. 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Re-
presentatives of the State of Louisiana in General Assembly
convened, That whenever the revenue raised by the author-
ity vested in the Mayor and Trustees of said town of Jack-
son, by the first article of the fourth section of the act to in-
Public meeting corporate said town, be deemed by them insufficient for the
purposes-of said corporation, the said mayor and trustees
shall have power to call a public meeting of the inhabitants
